about

Magnanimus Trio / A Cue (2010)

Christos Barbas: Piano
Pavlos Spyropoulos: Contrabass
Dimitris Tasoudis: Drums

The first album by Magnanimus Trio, A Cue was recorded back in 2010, when the group first met in Thessaloniki, Greece. It offers a testament to the first steps of the trio's imaginative, atmospheric and melodic music-making based in deep listening and nearly telepathic interplay. Previously unreleased, it is now available in a new re-mastered edition.

While the two next albums of Magnanimus trio, Still Time (2012) and No Time (2016) contain compositions by the members of the group as well as improvisations, A Cue contains an hour of fully improvised music recorded in an unique recording session by Yannis Mavridis in Cue Productions Studio, that also gave the name to the album.
